TO THE END OF THE AGE
How does one depict a presence which is unrecognisable by the senses? Inspired by footprints left in the sand when a person departs, she decided to make a “body print” - the evidence left on the earth which does not disappear and can be found in words, deeds and the influence of the (now invisible) person.
STATIONS OF A LOSS
People keep losing things, weight, data, friends, families, memories etc. That Friday I went to a pilgrimage. Just a short one. And I invited others to join me virtually via Facebook. I posted photos with short statements and invited people to comment on them and to add their own reflections. The event is still available on Facebook.
GLOVES (MIGRATION) ADOPTION
This work addresses the value of things and the promotion of recycling. I have been intrigued by the fact of how fast the value of things can drop. For me, a symbol of devaluation is lost gloves which I can find everywhere around Cambridge and which I have been photographing for about three years. In the figurative sense, the whole project represents the reality of consumerism which does not seek a long lifetime for “useful” products and promotes overproduction as a norm. However, such an approach can in its most extreme form ratify the devaluation of human beings when they lose their “usefulness” as well.
THE WOMEN OF THE BOOK
In this project I explore (both theoretically and practically) what influence faith has on the inner understanding of femininity and the vocation of being a woman of any Abrahamic religion, and how this phenomenon affects the recognition of women's representation in the contemporary society and religious practices.
